The opening ceremony of "Italian Sites on the UNESCO Heritage List" photo exhibition was hosted by the Italian Embassy in Vietnam with the sponsorship of NEM Fashion on October 25 at the showroom on 45 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi.
The exhibition is part of a number of activities in "Vietnam – Italy 2011" programme, which aims to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italy's Unification (1861) and allow visitors to understand more about Italy.
There have been 911 landscapes recognised as Cultural Heritage sites by UNESCO worldwide of which 45 are located in Italy. This affirms the importance of the country Internationally as being a centre of culture.
The show "Italian Sites on the UNESCO Heritage List" offers a unique view of the most valuable treasures in Italy. These sites were specifically chosen as cultural landmarks of the world, not only for the Italian people, but to be shared by people internationally.
A seminar on linking tourism initiatives across the provinces of Lao Cai, Quang Ninh and Ninh Binh and Hanoi city was held in Hanoi on October 27.
Delegates focused on better cooperation in the areas of information sharing, advertising, as well as infrastructure investment and new tourism products.
In particular, participants committed to improving State management policy, encouraging closer cooperation, and looking at ways to make tourist destinations more attractive to local and overseas markets

Night 1 : Our car will pick up from your hotel in Hanoi anf transfer to Hanoi train station for the night to Lao Cai station. Overnight on the train.
Day 2 : Sapa free ( B/ L/ D )
Picked up at Lao Cai Station by bus to Sapa (round 8.30 AM). Check in hotel & breakfast. Free to explore the town.
Day 3 : Sapa Town – Seo Trung Ho Village ( Overnight at the village ) 17km by jeep, 18km trekking, round 6.5 hours of trekking ( B/ L/ D ) Sapa – Seo Trung Ho – Ta Trung Ho – Ban Ho Village
Breakfast at the hotel, take a jeep ride along Muong Hoa valley to visit the Rattan Bridge, silver waterfall, the first village of the Red Dzao people ( Giang Ta Chai village ). Do a trek round 6 – 7 hours through the forests up and down in Fanxipan range then reach Seo Trung Ho village of the Red Dzao. This is an almost untouched village and there are very few tourists getting here. In here, there is a chance to enjoy a most beautiful waterfall in Sapa, which comes from a height of about 70m. Stay overnight in this village with a Dzao family.
Day 4 : Seo Trung Ho – Ta Trung Ho – Ban Ho Village ( Overnight at the village ) 17km trekking in the forests ( B/ L/ D )
Have breakfast with the family, start climbing up to the mountain for another untouched village: Ta Trung Ho village located at about 1450m above the sea level. Picnic lunch at the village and then descend Ban Ho village to visit a different minority: The Tay people who have houses on stilts. Stay the night at Ban Ho village in a house on stilts. Have dinner with the family.
Day 5 : Ban Ho Village – Sapa – Lao Cai ( 10 km of walking - 23km by jeep ): ( B/ L/ D )
Breakfast at Ban Ho, Go for a walk to a waterfall called Lavie which was discovered and named by the French in the past. Say goodbye to Ban Ho and the family to get up to Supan village where to take jeep back to Sapa. Have hot shower at the hotel and then take bus to Lao Cai Station for the night train to Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi around 5.00am. The end of the tour.

The trek brings you though the excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone and paddy fields of H'mong village will be introduced, visits to local families and reach their customs and the Cat Cat waterfall will be visible.
A "White curtain" cascade appears, surrounded by flowery valley and deep – green pines. The rocks near the river and waterfall provide a marvelous place for picturesque photos and sunbathing during good weather.

Day 1 : Lao Cai Station – Sapa – Lao Chai- Ta Van ( B, L, D )
AM: 7h30 arrive Lao Cai Pick up at Lao Cai Station then transfer to Sapa. Have breakfast in the hotel or restaurant ( optional ) before the trip starts. We walk along the main road for a while then take a small path up hill to get to Lao Chai village of the Black H'Mong tribe. The trek brings you through the upper mountain range of Sapa overlooking down to its valley. The guide will prepare lunch in a local house while you walk around the village to meet the tribe and visit their catholic church. After lunch continue to Tavan village to visit the Day tribe, which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area then you will stay first night at local house. Homestay at village.
Day 2 : Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai- Ban Ho village ( B, L, D )
Have breakfast and check out before the trip starts. Trek down to Giang Ta Chai village to visit the Red Dzao tribes. Have a picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the buffalo trails to get to Ban Ho where you will see the amazing scenery and beautiful waterfall. Stay overnight in a local family.
Day 3 : Ban Ho – Sapa tour ( B, L, D )
Free on the morning at waterfall for swimming or walk around in the village then trekking up to the mountain. And the last 45 min. climbing up hill to get to the waiting point is really a challenge for you. You get back to Sapa by Vietnam TripAdvisor’s jeep. Stay overnight in Sapa.
Day 4 : Sapa tour – Lao Cai – Hanoi ( B, L, D )
Free at leisure or walk around in the market to see the locals people purchasing in Sapa market. Check out. Private vehicle transfer back to Lao Cai railway staytion for night train back to Hanoi. Over night on train.
Day 5 : Hanoi
Arrive to Hanoi at 05:00am. Turn back your hotel on your own. End of the tour.

Start early in the morning at 6:00am, driving to Can Cau market, which passing Bac Ha town. The road between Bac Ha and Can Cau is hilly but very beautiful. The products at the market are interesting, and many different groups of ethic minority people represent make the market an unforgettable experience. Back to Bac Ha for lunch. Check-in at a hotel in Bac Ha. After a rest, trekking about 5km of mountain path to Ban Pho Village – home of Flower H'Mong people, get in touch and witness their traditional life style, habit and customs.
Night 3 – Saturday : Overnight in the hotel in Bac Ha.
Day 3 – Sunday : Bac Ha – Lao Cai – Hanoi ( B, L, D )
After breakfast, take a car to Si Ma Cai Market – join in Si Ma Cai hill-tribe market and discover the daily life of Flower H'Mong, Red Dzao people. Have a picnic lunch on the way. You go back to Sapa by motorbike/jeep. Get yourself fresh with a shower in the hotel's day room before transfer down to Lao Cai Station for the night train back to Hanoi.

Option 1 : Pleasant drive to Ta Phin village (12km from Sapa) of Red Dzao ethnic. Touring to the village to visit Tafin handicraft shop and explore the daily life of Red Dzao. Here you have a good choices to buy woven and textile brocades, which is made by ethic people. Visit Tafin Cave and small hamlet of Black H’mong people. Return to Sapa and take a transfer to Lao Cai station for night train to Hanoi.
Option 2 : Take the foot path up and down and crossing a small hamlet of Matra, where inhabited by Black H’mong ethic. Continue trekking up the village and getting through paddies fields will lead you to an ancient Catholic abbey, built by French colonists. Walk 2 km more to reach Tafin handicraft shop and explore the daily life of Red Dzao. Here you have a good choices to buy woven and textile brocades, which is made by ethic people. Visit Ta Phin cave and small hamlet of Black H'mong people. Return to Sapa & take a transfer to Lao Cai station for night train to Hanoi.

Bac Ha Sunday Market – Some 100km (62 miles) from Sapa, this is probably the most famous market in the region and more along the lines of what Sapa was once like. Here, various hill tribes converge every Sunday morning to conduct commerce. As a visitor, you’re certainly part of the trade here because folks are keen to sell you their wares.
Night 1 - Friday : Hanoi – Lao Cai
Our car picks you up at your hotel and transfer to Hanoi train station for the night train to Lao Cai station. Sleep on the train. Overnight on AC Soft Sleeper Hanoi – Lao Cai train.
Day 1 - Saturday : Can Cau – Bac Ha ( B, L, D )
Picked up at Lao Cai Train Station to transfer to Can Cau Market. It takes more than 2 hours to get to Can Cau – a small market situated in a valley surrounded by mountains and only 7 km from China. The market deeply shows the typical cultural features of the minorities in remote mountainous areas in Vietnam. Further more, you can enjoy seeing boys and girls in colourful costumes – different colours of the mountains. They attend the market in the hope of finding "the other halves of their lifves" and this is also the time for them to chat, to exchange everything among different ethnic peoples through cups of wine sold in the market. Say goodbye to the market and transfer to BacHa. On the way, spend time visiting a village of the Flower H'mong and then check in hotel in Bac Ha. Free to explore the town. Lunch in Can Cau or in Bac Ha and dinner in Bac Ha.
Day 2 - Sunday : Bac Ha – Trung Do – Chay River –Sapa ( B, L, D )
A walk to Bac Ha market. Visit one village and an old building called The H'mong king's house. Breakfast and the beginning of the day on which you visit a big market filled with many different hill-tribe peoples. This is the most colourful market in North Vietnam. At the market, you have chance to enjoy Bac Ha people's simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches… talking to the minorities through the guide's interpretation. Leave the market for the H'mong King's house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese in 1920. Return the town for lunch. In the afternoon, spend time visiting another village ( Ban Pho village ). Say good bye to Bac Ha and get back to Trung Do village, visit the Tay then get on boat along Chay river. Get off boat for jeep at Bao Nhai then continue to Sapa. On the way back, drop in to see the Vietnamese and Chinese Harbour Mouth in Lao Cai. Reach Sapa late in the afternoon. Check in hotel in Sapa.
Day 3 - Monday : Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Lao Cai ( B, L, D )
Breakfast, check out hotel at 10:00am. Get downhill to the valley for 3 villages of the Black H'mong, the Dzay & Red Dzao people. Lunch at a Dzay family. Get up to the road for a car back to Sapa. Then take shuttle bus to Lao Cai Station for the night train to Hanoi. Dinner at Lao Cai Station. Overnight on the train

Day 1 : Lao Cai – Sapa home stay ( B, L, D )
5:30AM – Arrive in Lao Cai. The bus ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour, giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. You'll have breakfast in a Local Restaurant, then meet with our local guide and drive ( 30 minutes ) to the Golden Stream Valley, stopping at Ta Van village. Walk down through the village from the main road and start trekking to Giang Ta Chai village. The trekking route offers some challenge as you balance on the rice terraces and a small trail on the steep mountainside. The vegetation is dense as the trail leads up to a peaceful village perched on the Hoang Lien mountainside. Head downhill and relax by a local stream for a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, trek about 1.5 hours uphill before descending down to the quaint Tay hill tribe village of Ban Ho. Dinner and overnight in home stay.

Day 2 : Sapa more trekking –Lao Cai: ( B, L, D )
After breakfast, you will start the day with an easy trek on dirt paths. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the valley with its traditional stilt houses and rice terraces. Make your way along a stream to cross a hanging bridge before arriving in Nam Toong Village. In this picturesque valley, you'll pass some remote villages of the Red Dzao ethnic minority communities set amongst the rice and corn fields.
After a picnic lunch, walk back to the meeting point where our driver is waiting to take you back to Sapa for a shower at the hotel in Sapa town. Our bus pick you up and transfer to Lao Cai Train Station. Have dinner before catch the night train depart at 20:00 back to Hanoi. Tour ends at Hanoi Railway Station next day morning at 5:30am.
